Mount Samat National Shrine PILAR
Dambana ng Kagitingan is located in the town of Pilar, only 16 kilometers from our location and what a visit it is. Commissioned in 1966 by then President Ferdinand Marcos for the 25th anniversary of World War 11. Mt. Samat was the site of the most vicious battle against the Japanese Imperial Army durning the Battle of Bataan. There is a panoramic view from the Cross and on a clear day you can actually see Manila from there.
Dunsulan Waterfalls PILAR
Located at the back of Mount Samat in Pilar, the 5 meter high falls are most active during the rainy season, but always a wonderful attraction to visit. There is a treetop zip line, picnic tables for you adventure, as well as a 4.3 mile outback trail which is considered moderately challenging and normally takes less than two hours to complete. A 20 minute drive from us for a nice forest lunch and some activities that your whole family can enjoy . a fantastic destination for hardened cyclists.

Pantingan Peak Hike BAGAC
PanTarak: Pantingan Peak Traverse to Tarak Ridge. Mt Mariveles tops out at 1,388 meters and is very scenic with windy rockscape. Climbers will first pass through a forest, then on to grassy slopes in pursuing the base the base.The trail gets steeper but the climbing is pleasant due to the forest cover. There is a campsite en route and the glory comes from the summit where you will experience the breathtaking views of the Marilveles range..
